The U.S. Coast Guard maintains many different fleet assets using paper-based maintenance procedure cards (MPCs). Maintenance officers with the U. S. Coast Guard engaged with Handshaw to explore the possibility of moving MPCs to a mobile format.
Like many organizations, Quintiles recognized the need to make sure all learning goals are linked to business goals and identified high performance individuals to become part of a new Performance Partner consulting team. They turned to Handshaw for a methodology and a means for developing new skills in proactive consulting, reactive consulting, and completing gaps maps for performance problems and solutions.
First Tennessee Bank implemented the CaptialStream Commercial Lending software, and users not only had to understand the process, but also how the system changed the overall workflow and the detailed tasks performed at each phase. First Tennessee turned to Handshaw to create training for the new system and prepare their employees for a new work process.
KeyBank, one of the largest bank-based financial services companies in the United States, conducted new hire teller training in a "training region," a replication of the Argo™ banking platform used for practice. Maintaining two versions of the platform was not sustainable and KeyBank leadership made the decision to discontinue their training region. As a result, they required a training solution that would provide tellers with "real world" skill practice as part of the teller curriculum.
Zions Bancorp, a banking leader in the western United States, implemented the CaptialStream commercial lending software throughout the organization. CaptialStream will consolidate numerous peripheral systems and streamline their commercial lending workflow. Training needed to be designed in tandem with the system implementaiton, while it was still in early phases of development. Zions Bancorp selected Handshaw as their training partner based on our previous successes training on CapitalStream products.
Numerous multinational companies have experienced devastating security breaches; Fujitsu Network Communications (FNC) took a proactive approach through a company-wide information and data security training endeavor. FNC partnered with Handshaw for help researching the content and developing highly engaging scenario-based e-learning to prepare their employees to recognize and respond to data breaches. The training was so well received it was deployed to all Fujitsu employees around the globe.
Cone Health has a commitment to patient care excellence exemplified by its training opportunities for professionals and implementation of national patient care standards. Prior to working with Handshaw, Cone provided only instructor-led training (ILT) sessions for a number of its key training courses. Cone engaged Handshaw to determine ways to supplement an already strong curriculum with less time intensive E-learning that captured the same emotional tone as the ILT classes.
The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) supports a worldwide membership of more than 1,000 organizations through research, development, and demonstration (RD&D). Engineering personnel at U.S. nuclear power plants are subject to defined training requirements to drive continued excellence. EPRI and Handshaw developed an online engineering fundamentals curriculum compliant with industry training standards to meet this member need.
Owens Corning replaced the learning management system (LMS) used in each facility worldwide with an implementation of SAP’s SuccessFactors, which offered many new and advanced features the previous LMS did not have, but also created new functional job roles for LMS administrators that needed to be defined. Handshaw helped Owens Corning develop system training for a globally-dispersed admin population before the go-live date.
